Salmon BallsIngredients 2 cups fresh Alaska smoked salmon or one 1-pound can of smoked salmon One 8-ounce cream cheese 1 Tablespoon lemon juice 2 teaspoons grated onion 1 teaspoon horseradish 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke 1/2 cup chopped pecans 3 Tablespoons snipped parsley Strain and flake your salmon of choice (this site is all about Alaska smoked salmon so that's what I recommend). Combine (mix well) salmon with all the remaining ingredients, then chill (this wont take long, just until it's cooled below room temperature). Then shape into balls then roll over pecans and parsley. GRANDMA'S SALMON BALL1 can salmon drained and separated 12 oz. cream cheese 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. liquid smoke 2 green onions chopped garlic to taste chopped pecans and parsley Mix Salmon and Cream cheese. Add Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and green onions. Chill. Shape into ball and roll in pecans and parsley. Submitted by: Deborah Jones SMOKY SALMON CHEESE BALL1 (7 3/4 oz.) can salmon, remove skin and bones 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 1/4 c. mild Cheddar cheese, shredded 2 tbsp. minced onion 1 tbsp. dried parsley 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 to 2 tsp. liquid smoke (to taste) 3/4 tsp. celery salt 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 c. chopped pecans Combine all ingredients except pecans. Roll into a ball. Roll ball in chopped pecans. Chill overnight. |
